The following will form the basis of your agreement with Silver Stripe Outdoors
||You would embark on our trips through your own free will, after understanding the suitability and the level of risk involved in all the activities. Please do assess your own capabilities including fitness levels and we recommend a physical test before confirming your participation. We expect you to understand that while Silver Stripe Outdoors personnel will try and cater to a certain level of comfort through material and logistics, you should ensure presence of essential equipment like appropriate attire, caps, boots etc (A list of such items will be provided)
||Personal Insurance is not covered as part of the tour price. We suggest you cover yourself suitably through insurance. Silver Stripe Outdoors cannot be held responsible if you purchase an inadequate insurance policy or if you have failed to notify the insurer of the requirement of the policy.
||Payment & Confirmation: You shall be provided a booking form along-with this document. On receipt of the completed booking form and the applicable payment, Silver Stripe Outdoors will issue a confirmation advice and at this stage a binding contract will come into existence. Please check the confirmation advice and inform Silver Stripe Outdoors immediately in case of any error.
||Any location taxes, permit fee will be paid on actuals. Silver Stripe Outdoors will try and accommodate these in the tour price, however any unforeseen payments will be borne by the guest at location.
||The balance of your tour cost is payable not less than ten days prior to departure. This will however vary depending upon the type of trip especially for customized itineraries where booking time is more due to larger logistical arrangements.
||Special Requests: like diet considerations, types of accommodation etc should be made to Silver Stripe Outdoors at the time of booking. In case the request is not met, then it will not be a breach of contract unless you have been specially confirmed about the same. You must also make aware in writing of any medical problem or disability at the time of booking. We will not confirm the booking if we are unsure of our capability to facilitate you.
||If you have chosen to or happen to make a booking through a travel agent or by any third party where the latter will relay information from you to us and vice versa, then Silver Stripe Outdoors will not be responsible for any failure in service or advice that did not originate from Silver Stripe Outdoors.
Alteration in Trip by you.
(a) If you wish to change your trip plan after the confirmation advice has been issued, you must inform us in writing or by email and we will try and accommodate your request. In the event that we are unable to do so a nominal amendment fee will be payable along with any costs incurred by us or our partners. However, if you (i) change to a different departure date, tour or destination or (ii) change your booking less than 8 weeks before departure, this will be treated as a cancellation and a new booking and you will be liable for the cancellation charges set out in the cancellation clause below.
(b) If you wish to change any aspect of your tour after it has commenced, Silver Stripe Outdoors will do their best to make the changes you have asked for, subject to you being responsible for any cancellation/retention charges that may be levied for the arrangements originally booked, for the cost of your new arrangements and for any costs incurred by Silver Stripe Outdoors or our partners in attempting to secure or securing any revised arrangements.
Alterations to and Cancellations of the Scheduled Programme
(a) The trip arrangements on our website are booked and planned in advance and changes may, from time to time, be necessary. Silver Stripe Outdoors reserves the right to alter any of the prices, facilities or services described in its web-site or any other promotional material like brochures/ posters etc at any time before confirming a booking.
(b) We must also reserve the right to cancel confirmed bookings. However, we promise we will only cancel your confirmed booking 4 weeks in advance or less before departure where you have failed to make full payment on time or as a result of circumstances outside our control/"force majeure". Such changes will normally be minor, but may be material - i.e. a change of scheduled departure time or a radical change of itinerary.
(c) If there is a material change or a cancellation, Silver Stripe Outdoors will try to inform you or your travel agent as soon as practicable and will offer you the choice of
(i) accepting the changed arrangements or
(ii) purchasing alternative arrangements from us, of a similar standard to those originally booked if available (if the chosen alternative is less expensive than your original one, we will refund the difference but if it is more expensive, we will ask you to pay the difference) or
(iii) cancelling or accepting the cancellation in which case you will receive a full and quick refund of all monies you have paid to us.
(d) We may be forced by "force majeure", to change or terminate your arrangements after departure. If this situation does occur, we regret we will be unable to make any refunds (unless we obtain any from our suppliers), pay you compensation or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result.
Cancellation by You : Should you wish to cancel your tour you must notify Silver Stripe Outdoors in writing or by email. Such notification will only be deemed to have been given on receipt by us of your letter or email.. Please state the reason for your cancellation as you may be covered by your insurance policy. The following cancellation charges will apply (as a % of total tour cost) :
Prior intimation in writing:
» 45 and more days before departure - 100% Refund
» 45-30 days before departure - 50% Refund
» 30 - 20 days before departure - 20 % Refund
» Less than 20 days - No Refund
The above are subject to change depending upon type of itinerary especially for customized trips where 100% refund is applicable only in case of cancellation intimation of 60 days or more.
||Prices : We strive to maintain the same price as committed, however these might be subject to change especially upon changes in conversion rates of currency
Your Responsibilities : You have certain responsibilities with regard to your trip bookings as set out below. Subject to these booking conditions, Silver Stripe Outdoors will not be liable for any loss, damage, illness, discomfort or costs of whatever kind that you may sustain as a result of failing to discharge the responsibilities described in this clause:
(a) Paperwork including Visas/ passports/ Identification & other relevant documents should be in order
(b) Health: Recommended inoculations for travel & medications. We also recommend a fitness check before setting out on your trip if any.
(c) If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results to fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
(d) Adhere to timelines and schedules
(e) Behaviour: You must not behave in a way that may cause distress or annoyance to others or which may create the risk of danger or damage to property. If Silver Stripe Outdoors incurs any expense as a result of your behaviour you will be obliged to compensate Silver Stripe Outdoors for that expense. Silver Stripe Outdoors will also not refund any potion of the cost of your trip in that case.
||Force Majeure In these Booking Conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control. Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our agreement with you is prevented or affected by, or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure.

» Tips & excess baggage charges.
» Gratuities for service provided on a personal basis.
» Optional extras.

(a) We will not accept responsibility for services or facilities which do not form part of our agreement or where they are not advertised in our brochure or informed in writing. Excursions will be subject to the rules and regulations applicable to the particular location, venue or other attraction.
(b) Our acceptance of liability for the acts of our representatives is only binding if our representatives or agents are acting with our authority and/or performing their duties as described in this brochure. This excludes for example any social contact that you may have with them.
